One was this 1851 Gothic Florin which made me grin a bit. It was also my first English florin too. More info about this and the rest of the days hunt is on my blog if you would like to look. I don't know what year they stopped the silver content in their coins either. I think it might be 65 but not sure. MK

At first, 1849-1851 the florin had plain victorian writing and was called the 'godless coin'. From 1851-1887 the gothic pattern remained the same.
