Hi Dan
Man you have some good finds and HEAPS of them.
Also a word of thanks. When I was looking at getting into detecting/fossicking I stumbled onto your vids and thought what a brilliant and enjoyable narrative you have, not to mention seeing places that I recognized made the whole idea more viable. It was good to see there was new life and character from what I perceived as being a hobby of old secretive fellas, funny thing is, I now understand why some of us portray that stero-type as it allows us to actually do what we love and not get interrupted every few minutes *8^)

Keep up the good work!

Cheers
Gregg

Great to see the silver - dont cash in on it - I note in the financial advice newlsletters from the US of A that they estimate silver could be up around $178 US per Troy ounce this time next year!

Thanks Gregg good to know I helped someone get into the hobby...I started out by watching foreign videos of detecting and got hooked...and pleased to be able to share the experiences with aquaintences I have made all over the world as well as look back as a kinda diary of some fun adventures and times

Sometimes I'm secretive too..usually when I have virgin land that I want to hunt over first lol...don't wanna spend weeks researching to have someone else go in and clean up the goodies..not that that ever happens as usually every park or field has something left that someone missed haha but yeah thats why my vids are normally 2 months old now...I'm learning...slowly :)

Cheers man

Strewth I would have thought the coast would have been a real gold spinner - especially behind the tote of the race courses or where ever there were pub sites - out side the front and back doors and under where the clothes lines used to be at pub sites like the European at Charleston and so on.

Bullets can be interesting enough though if they are real oldies - the tell a story, snider bullets, pistol balls and so on.

I live kinda in a farming based community I guess so maybe that helps as farmers have always been NZ's back bone...it's certainly not a huge area but after some research I learnt that it has been well used over the years...

This partuicular place I have had over 150 SILVER coins from and it's maybe 3 acres...it was just mowed and raked for hay so I hit the low grass inbetween and nailed it. Cold southerly wind blowing hard and the odd spit of rain but silver makes it worth it :)

I love finding old bullet projectiles...yesterday I found maybe half a doz old shells but they do nothing for me!

lol anyone guess where I was yet? :) If anyone wantsto help hunt it drop me a line when ya in the South Canterbury area...theres still 9 acres of UNDETECTED (by me) land that due to waist high grass I havn't yet been able to hunt! I'm bloody positve theres a gold sovereign out there with MY name on it :) Can't guarantee ya treasure but I do have cold beer in fridge!!
