Hi guys and girls,

I've just updated the Gold Permit Map with fresh data from Crown Minerals:

http://permitmap.paydirt.co.nz/

If the date at the top doesn't say 01/07/2011 then refresh the page as you're looking at an old version your web browser has cached!

Seems there's only been 9 new claims (of any type and status) added since 03/04/2011.

List of tweaks:
* Links to individual permits now fixed (Crown Minerals changed the link format)
* Can now empty filter selections to see everything
* Can jump to full screen topo map using link next to refresh button (handy for people with lower resolution monitors)

Enjoy,
Gavin

Maybe you're not using the right filters? For some reason it's listed as an "Exploration Permit". Here's the a link that will show only that permit for you (using the the new data)...

http://www.topomap.co.nz/NZTopoMap?v=2&ll=-45.033094,169.071259&z=13&ft-id=1077655&ft-q=SELECT%20geometry%20FROM%201077655%20WHERE%20Number%3D52683

A flaw in my map - gosh, the cheek of such an insinuation! Regarding differences in types of permit - I only have a vague understanding of what they mean just copying the data out of Crown Minerals as-is ;)

Hi Gavin

How often do you update the permit map just looking for places to go and it seems that there are new claims all the time so dont want to go to a river and find out im on some ones claim.

Hi gingerbreadman,

53396 is there, but the status hasn't been updated:
http://www.topomap.co.nz/NZTopoMap?v=2&ll=-44.982545,168.463406&z=15&ft-id=1077655&ft-q=SELECT%20geometry%20FROM%201077655%20WHERE%20Number%3D53396

53381 I couldn't find myself on Crown Minerals. Do you have a direct link to the details?

The permit map will always be a little out of date as I have to import data manually, which I try to do every few months. The date at the top tells you when the data was last refreshed from Crown Minerals.

Cheers,
Gavin

No worries, I have too many of those type moments myself! :P

Here you go:
http://www.topomap.co.nz/NZTopoMap?v=2&ll=-44.977506,168.853764&z=13&ft-id=1077655&ft-q=SELECT%20geometry%20FROM%201077655%20WHERE%20Number%3D53318

Probably just a different status to what I've got it as. Would like to thrown more time at updating the data, but there's just not enough hours in the day! ;)
