Hi all!

Finally it seems that I going to visit NZ!
Is there a shop where I can see (and buy) the gear? Maybe also second hand stuff?

Not that I have seen. You can buy gold pans and metal detectors in shops but not much else. Its all available on paydirt.co.nz though!

If you stop by Dunedin (which may be a bit late in the piece for you perhaps) but I have a spare pan, shovel, grubber, rockhammer, sightglass, crevice sucker, prybar, tweezers etc which you may borrow. just pm me.

Best gear is from America or Australia. Best prospecting is probabaly South Island. If you come to Auckland ,look me up, if I'am free I'll show you around.
