How can I tell if an area has a claim on it?Is there a site on the net which lists them?I dont want to be panning away and look up to see the wrong end of a 12 gauge pointed at my head!

There's a map on the Crown Minerals web site that shows permits...

You can filter out everything apart from gold claims by selecting "Gold" from the mineral drop-down box on the left.

Should help prevent you claim jumping.

Happy fossicking... hopefully not staring down the wrong end of a 12 gauge! ;)
