If you're looking for some effective miners moss / carpet type material for trapping the gold in your sluice box check out the vinyl loop type door mats you can find in hardware stores.

The one photographed was found in Bunnings Warehouse. Cut to a snug size for your sluice box it seems to be very effective!

they sell that stuff on trade me as well its called nomad matting made by 3m if you want the unbacked stuff they sell it at those work and safety shops.
