I'm looking for one of these items and unfortunately Estwing don't manufacture them anymore
They're 18" long, I beam construction, L shape, chisel shape at the small end and point at the other. Anyone have a spare? Or know of anyone who has one? Any help appreciated.

Hi Rick, Here is a pic of what you are after. The blue bar below the 3lb hammer Yes they are fantastic for ripping open crevices.

Hi Rick, No sorry, this is a favourite of mine & was part of my gear that got flogged & refound one year later further up the creek. I bought this in from the USA. I think I got it from Keene Engineering when I got some other dredging bits & pieces. You could try checking them out. http://www.keeneeng.com/...amp;Category_Code=RPSCT

Not quite the same now. Doesnt have the sharp point.

Went out for a detect after work last night & got 3 little pieces for a total of .75 grams. Smallest was .08 of a gram. I often think how much finer gold there is in some of these crevices. I came across one last night that had a heap of iron sand in. I will have to take a bucket & load it up with these black sands & other diggings from crevices I find gold in & see what I may be missing. Trouble is it is just one more thing to carry around & walking over the old workings can be hazedous enough just carrying the detector.
